grabby steering on small bumps
Hi all, I need a little nudge in the right direction before I start throwing money at this.
I've got a 96 4runner SR5 with 193K. There's no lift and there are bags in the rear coils. This happens with no extra weight in the back. It seems to get worse as my speed increases and the alignment feels okay. The tires are michelins and still have 50-60% life.
The rig's slowly been getting more grabby on little road surface deviations and I'm starting to think it's something to look into fixing. Interstate 5 in Washington's not in the best condition, but it feels like every little dip or crack requires a quick correction. I've played with it a little and the rig seems to jerk right when I hit a dip with the right tires and vice versa on the left. My wife was following me yesterday and said it looked like I was drunk (and I wasn't).
Any advice on part brands to steer clear of on the front end when it's time to start replacing?

i went to the auto parts place and picked up a new stablizer. the guys helping me has a older runner and had experienced the same thing a while back. he said the bar/pin at an end is a notorious rust collector.
