got my truck aligned today...

after getting new tires this weekend and a 2" lift several weeks back i decided it was time to do an alignment. Got a pretty good deal for a lifetime alignment at the local firestone dealer...the manager knocked off $20 from the normal price so i was down for that.

the result: Surprisingly the camber and caster were within spec and the only adjustment that was needed was the toe adjustment which makes sense. I would have expected the camber to be off a bit considering i raised the truck. Anyway, now i just have to watch my air pressure rotate regularly and happy wheeling

well a one time alignment is normally $50 whereas a lifetime is $150 so i ended up paying $130 for lifetime...i figured it would be good to do it once a year especially w/ more wheeling trips occur.

Yeah the lifetime alignment is an awesome deal. I get an alignment every 6 month or about every other oil change. I'm surprised they gave you lifetime with a lifted truck. The policy at the local firestone here is no lifetime on altered suspensions.

On a lifetime can you take it as much as you want, or you are only allowed one like once every six months, or once a year or something like that. Also where did you get your lifetime allignment at? A national chain?

i'm not sure i'll have to read the "fine print" but they seem to be pretty cool guys there as they know that i offroad on the truck so they suggested that. and it's a national chain firestone so i can essentially take it to any FS retailer

They raised the price. I got mine for $119.

Nevertheless it is a good deal. I already had it aligned 3 times in the last 6 months. Lift, tires, offroading trip.

After the lift (3.5") my alignment was barely off as well.
