If I recall correctly BFG does not offer any kind of warantee. That is what I was told 4 years ago when I bought 31" AT KOs.
To get them balanced corectly they have to use a road force balancer and a lug centric adapter. It simuates real driving conditions by anchoring the wheel to the balance machine by the lug holes rather than the hub hole and it applies pressure to the tread surface as it spins.
If you have 4.10 gears your spedometer will be read about 10% low. I got stopped once for going 70 in a 60 zone when my speedo was reading ~61. Bigger tires require lower gears if you are set up like I used to be.

I have the stock gears in place, but I read that 87 trucks came with 31x10.50 tires standard, so gearing shouldn't be off. Speaking of gearing, I really like how these change the gears, it makes them just a little longer, and I haven't noticed too much power drop at all. Its more in the brakes that I felt a difference.

Funny, one of my wheels threw a weight when I first drove it home too. Only I heard it bounce off the wheel well, scared the crap out of me

Yup, that's it!
Actually, I was a bit worried that maybe the DTC guys had left a lugnut loose or something. I didn't even think about the weight until I pulled over and started looking on the road (in between red lights

Rhino lining is one thing I'd like to do, but it doesn't make sense at the moment. The rust is eaten through in front and back of the left rear fender, and on the right rear fender, there is an 8 inch by one inch hole of rust. I want either new bedsides, a new bed, or fiberglass bedsides, if I were to rhino line my current bed, the money would go to waste once I replaced the bed or bedsides. But I agree, I HATE looking in my bed and seeing all those scratches in the paint.
I'd also like a new rear bumper....
I shoulda gotten the money from the guy who rear ended me, but I felt sorry for my class mate...

oh that's the worst...
when the people who hit you are family or friends.
:pat:
Sorry about the Rhino-lining suggestion I couldn't really see the extent of the rust damage in the pics. I didn't realize it was that bad!

Its ok. Don't sweat it. The worst damage is on the opposite side of the pic anyway. Its that dang Magchloride they spray down here to get rid of snow.
Also, is your name Peter (from your sig)? If so, thats pretty funny, cuz my dad lives in San Diego, is named Peter, and owns a 02 Tacoma Double Cab 2WD prerunner with the V6. But his is black and has a westin bull bar on it and the factory chrome nerf bars.

Last time I checked, I had no kids

I have to say, that is one eery coincidence.
Next thing you're going to tell me is that he's asian and lives down my street.
(He isn't and doesn't... is/does he?)

Tacoma Dude, he's german and I don't know where you live, but he lives in military base housing.
Arnold, wouldn't have been able to pull that off, notice how in each pic there are different houses in the background? Its cause I have mooched off of three different friends to let me use their digital cameras.

Plays,
Nice tires, exact ones I got
They look great on your truck!! Since I live in colorado too, I'm gonna try and make it out for one of the outings so we can check each others 1st gens out
As for a rear bumper, i'm really happy with my badland bumper. Have you thought about one for your rig?
check out www.badlandbumpers.com
They have a pic or two of 1st gen pickups with them on....

Thanks for the compliment 89. Actually I haven't hit any trails out, so I need to get in gear and tag along with the other guys as well. Its tough with a minimum wage job, school, and a paranoid mother.
$350 for the rear bumper?!!!!!!! Nooooooooooooooo!!!!! That's what my mechanic quoted me for a new bumper. If I had taken that "$350" to the guy that hit me, I could've had one of those.
I am hesitant to put one on, I think the second I do, I will get hit again from behind. Also, I have a hitch, so what does that do as far as mounting, since the hitch is below the stock bumper. They look really good though, I like badland bumpers, their front tubes look sweet as well.

Plays_with_Toys,
Pics look great, WoW what a difference
, I was pleased with how the BFG's on the trails this weekend. I also can't wait to see how they do in the white stuff(snow). Keep us updated on any other mods.
