Is this a good price??

I was driving home from work and I saw a 4Runner for sale... its a 1995 SR5 Limited... it is a beautiful gold color... heres what it has...

112,000 miles ----------- V6 3.0 L
Automatic ------------ 4x4
Limited --------- Air conditioning
Power steering, windows, doors
Tilt wheel -------- cruise control
am/fm ------------ cd player
ABS ------------ leather
sunroof ------------ roof rack
privacy glass -------------- running boards
premium wheels..... they are stock toyota wheels so are they just alloy?

all that and they want $7000 from Kelly blue book

but they rated it in EXCELLENT condition and there is just a little rust on the tailgate by the window... so thats not excellent condition is it?

is 7000 to much?

ian

Price sounds good but show the rust and you should be able to get it down another 1,000. It should never be rated excellent if it needs body work.

with the rust, not no, but HELL NO! I would be willing to bet the problem runs much deeper.

oh, and heres another opinion. find a vehicle from the deep south or out west. ask lots of questions, then run a car fax and make sure it's always been in a salt free climate. then make the trip. you dont want to deal with rust, believe me.

Hm so u think its that bad even if the rust is just on the tailgate?
my mom sees it as a way of getting it for cheaper hah

its from nebraska and there is never really any rust here

so i think that it might be from somewhere else

Rust or not, seems way high to me. I would think more like $4500 to $5000 with the rust.

I got ALL of your options except the limited (which only meant leather seats then) plus a OEM grill guard, hitch (you have that too I think), and there was absolutely no body damage, interior looks gorgeous and mines a 5-speed.
I paid 4,900 out the door in the East, same mileage as that one too.
I don't see why you should be paying 3000 more for something with more body damage, rust, and a year younger.

I'd say keep looking.
autotrader.com
ebay.com

just search for options near you and treat them like any regular for sale ad, don't necessarily buy it off of ebay but use it as a tool. They usually post great pics on there.

mines a 90' with 149, 000. new long block at 138, 000, one small dent, no rust, and a perfect interior. I paid 5,500 6 months ago. only because of its condition. rust kills a vehicles value...bottom line.

If that was for sell in Pa: That rust is very minimal and a easy fix. The price should be about 4,500. The miles are decent, stock truck, which is good, but way overpriced in my book. Beat him down in price!!!!
