be gone bench seat- new buckets with PICS

so i got fed up with that bench seat in my 94p/u and went salvageing. i started looking last weekend and after hitting 4 partsyards i finally found the perfect set. just as i was about to settle on some buckets out of an eclipse i saw the rollbar of an 86-88 4runner. it was sr5 and had perfect match seats for my truck. got them for $100 and put them in today after some serious deep cleaning.

my question to you now is what to do about a center console. i could either try to make one and probably fail or i could buy a premade one. does anyone have anything that they reccomend?

also who wants to give me some wet okole's?

Sweet deal. Did you have to do any modifying to get them to work or did they just bolt right up?

driver seat bolted up no problem but the passenger seat (since it was out of a 2 door 4 runner) was made to come forward and allow people into the back so i had to drill 3 new holes. i'd say the work i put into them is totally worth it. the best part is i might be able to get a center console with cup holders so i dont have to use the ridiculous ones infront of the A/C!!!!!!

Ah man looks great, I've been really wanting to ditch my 60/40. I agree the cupholders upfront are useless, won't even fit a bottle of sobe.

I just put in some buckets seat in my 94 xcab, some console would work perfect. I found the ones for jeeps also work for Toyota trucks checkout JCWhitney. Those seat look great a perfect match for the grey interior I have the same red/grey truck and yours looks in very good condition.

Looking Good

Nice upgrade there. I'm in the process of mounting some buckets out of an eclipse myself. I wish I had been lucky enough to find some out of a yota, oh well. Good Score!

Thanks for the report and the pics. ... And thanks for informing us that it makes a difference if the (passenger) seats come out of a 2-door 'Runner. I never would have thought of that....

Looks great man, you are going to enjoy having buckets. No more sliding around on the non-supportive 60/40 bench.

I have Nextech racing seats in mine, and im going to get a center console, but havnt yet. Its also kinda nice having the open space between the seats, i keep my CD case there.

Oh, and as for the center console, the stock 4runner or SR5 pickup center console fits perfectly from what i have read, it just needs a few mounting holes drilled. When i get mine, i might try to get a tacoma one that has cupholders, have to wait and see what i can find when i get to that point.

Heres a pic of mine...
