Very impressed with these babies! For now, I just got the fronts as the wallet is running a little dry these days. They look good, cooshie and comfy, easy to install... just gotta see how they handle dirt and water.

 

Sweet! TRD seats look awesome man. How much do they cost?

 

I think I paid $250 for the seat covers, and the TRD off-road logo was an extra $15 or so... came to something like $280 with shipping.

Those look good Jackson. My fronts from Wet Okole came up to exactly $280 also, as that was with the SR5 logo I had put on.

Only I did the front seat covers first, then the sliderz, then the rear sear covers.
After you find wherever your wallet ran off too, you will want the rears.
I ordered mine the next day after putting the fronts in.
Did you order the 3 pack to of UV protectant, shampoo, and deoderizor?

 

I already want the rears... but house repairs (new roof, new windows, and termites) have my wallet pretty thin these days. Hopefully once the dust settles after all the work on the house, I'll order the rears. I'll get the shampoo then. Do you think the UV protectant is necessary? I was thinking that I'd go ahead and get it, like they say... an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure.

 

I have heard that they can fade, so that is why I bought it.
I have not even used any of it yet.

Maybe Butnut would know how much they fade being where he gets a lot of sunshine most of the year

Nice covers dude...TRD looks sweet too. Butnut sez the colors will fade. I have seen the Okole's (lot's of blue ones) and they faded to a whiteish light blue. I don't know exactly how that UV spray works, but I would use it to maintain the color. Note to Corey, the vehicles I did see were not maintained as well as yours...not even close. Beach beaters, faded and kinda rusty. I know they did'nt give a sheit about their stuff, it showed. I know yours will still look good years from now...just don't try and buff 'em.

Jackson, I just got inspired after posting to this thread a few times.
Went outside and sprayed the back seats first. Got them to where I could see the material was wet.
The bottle is a fine mist bottle and it covers a large area with it's mist.

I then took a towel and lightly rubbed the area as that is how they say to do it. I did not rub to hard, as I did not want to dry the stuff with the towel before it soaked in.

I then did the fronts the same way. It probably took me about 7 minutes at the most to do all the seats, maybe less.
Piece of cake to put the stuff on, and hardly any over spray on anything else.

It's an 8 oz bottle, and I thought I'd use a lot. I tend to over put stuff on at times, but I'd say I used less than 1/2 oz total, if that.
A little goes a long ways thanks to the misting action the bottle produces.

This must be done again when I end up shampooing them.

They are 3 piece seat covers... one for the headrest, one for the seat back, and one for the part you sit on. Each piece just slides over, the way a mitten slides over your hand. The headrest piece and the seat back piece have velcro stips that fix the cover in place... i.e. the headrest piece slide down over the headrest... then there are 3 flaps on the bottom that cover the bottom of the headrest and velcro in to the back of the part of the cover that covers the front of the headrest. Hard to explain, I'll try to get a pic of what I mean tomorrow. The part that goes on the seat bottom slides over, and there are 3 straps that secure it... 2 go front to back, one goes side to side. They clip toghter, then you tighten them down.

I installed mine with the seats still in place. Sliding the side to side strap down between the center console and the seat was pretty tight, but I got it. I did the whole think on my lunch break in about 30 minutes to give you an idea. The headrest and seatback were a piece of cake.

I bought them direct from Wet Okole.

Yea, they are basically the same thing. His had the wet okole logo on them instead of the TRD, and his were black and yellow instead of black and tan. Other than that, they are the same thing.

Oh, his are a little more broken in than mine, but not for long.

 

Make sure you keep the uv spray on them because they will fade out. I have had mine rebuilt a while back, one at a time and you could tell the difference! They don't rebuild them any more, they want you to buy new ones:mad: They also changed the seat cover a little, the center cover color used to come down under the seat all the way. They are great seat covers as I do love mine. I had them since the truck was new in 93. When I had them off to clean them I put my old PP covers on seatectors they used to be called. Anyway, you seat covers look great make sure to take care of them and they will last.


Hey Wait a minute!! You center colors goes all the way down under the seat in your pics! I ordered a set and sent them back as they told me they changed the pattern:mad: those B------s!

Jackson, It is hard to tell the color on your pic and at the Wet Okle site. Is your center color CODE 17 TAN ?

If you order the rear seat covers for the 4Runner are they universal 50/50 split covers or are they specifically tailored to the 4Runner and can you get the logos on them also?
