GF dropped a ring between the console and Seat

So my GF dropped a ring between the console and Seat and it was not immediately located. I checked every crevice of the seat and track. I think It fell into the rear seat heater area or duct. So I am here to find out how screwed I am. If it went into the ducting I have some work to do but no worries. If it went under the heater assembly is there any chance it could have left the vehicle?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance yotatech!

I just changed my carpet so I have had everything out. No, it's still in the vehicle. No open holes. There is clearance under seat track, and parts of the track on top you can never see regardless of how you move the seat. Pull the seat and you will find it. I hope your anchor nuts don't break free, like mine did. Minor PIA. First look from outside under seat and look under track from there. You might get lucky.

On the heater, new air is from the interior, from under seat, so no worries there either. It will be a pain because duct goes under carpet, but if you pull passenger seat and console (not THAT hard), I think you can remove the duct relatively easily. But that last I didn't do, so not sure. Pulling the whole side of the carpet up would be a serious PIA. Maybe it's time to get a new one? Made my truck look new.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll remove the seat when I get home today and hopefully that will be all it takes.

So after removing the seat, console, front and rear floor trim, and pillar trim I was able to access the ducting for the rear seat heat which is where the ring went. I just lifted the carpet and was able to unscrew the top of the ducting and feel around until I found the ring...and other assorted food items. Below is a pic of some mesh that i wrapped around the duct opening so hopefully this won't happen again. Also the GF started to compensate me for this mistake.....if you know what I mean

Congrats on finding the ring, and on receiving your compensation.

If she's "compensating" him for losing/recovering it, then I doubt it's made of anything magnetic...
