Question to get a toy drunk

Hay I would like to start with I have done several searches and found little and give an apoligy to all if this is long or been covered befor so here it is
1) toy 22re 9.4 c/r
2) turbo
3)EFI
4)all this put together with ethanol at 105 octane or so
5)traney r151f and t/c(23 spline gear driven)
6)H/D axels
7) smash mix into samuri
8):tomcat:
now the ?Q? is can the 22re motor be mated to the r151f traney so it will handel the high out put motor and i know that normalley the c/r is to high but with ethanol it is better any input is welcome and thank you in advance

The R151 tranny is the stock tranny for the 22RTE trucks/4runners.
Exact same mounts for the 22r, 22re, and 22rte.
They hold up to v6, or even v8 HP/torque.
Hope this helps,
Todd

You should look at tulene (sp? toulene?) mixed with regular old premium as far as boosting octane in gas.

THe problems I see with this swap are:

Stock pistons will not handle much boost (5-6psi max)
No intercooler? Try 4-5psi MAX if you don't have good pistons (forged or hyperkeunetic (sp?))
Stock cylinder head would need work if shooting for lots of HP (maybe a very slight port job, but definitely port matched manifolds and larger valves to move all that air around)
Stock crank would need work if shooting for lots of power (don't know what it is good for, but probably NOT 200+hp)
Stock rods would need work for 200+ hp
Stock EFI does not like turbocharging, what are you planning for engine management? You could try a 5th (or more) injector setup using a GReddy Rebec IV or a comparable unit (Split Second makes a cheaper one I believe), or you could go stand-alone (800-1200$ PLUS many, many hours of tuning), basically no matter what you do, you will need bigger injectors, a bigger fuel pump, some way to control the fuel into the engine, some way to stop rods from snapping and pistons from detonating. Plus there's the whole cost of a decent turbo. CT-26 (3rd gen supra) turbos are relatively easy to come by, as people swap them out for better turbos a lot (this says something about how great a turbo it is hehe) and it might be a little big for a slightly modded 2.4L, if I were you I'd be looking at the Garrett T3s that came in lots of Volvos, Saabs, and a few Fords and Dodges there are several different compressor trims used over the years and models. BUT if you do that, you can't use a stock 22RET manifold, and will either have to fabricate one or buy one already made ($$$), I think the 22RET used a CT-23 or something like that, I think it was basically a smaller CT than used in the Supra. If I were you, I'd get a stock 22RET, add an intercooler, add a little bit of fuel mods (S-AFC for instance), 3" exhaust, and start turning up the boost on regular premium or a toulene mix. You could probably get 200hp out of one with not a TON of mods, which is a lot cheaper than trying for 240-290 out of a highly modified 22RE running 9.4:1 compression. Technically speaking, though, with the right mods, you could probably squeeze 280hp/300tq out of a 22RE, but it would probably end up costing you ~5000 or 6000$ to do right, not including the transmission and the rest of that swap. I'd go for a S/C 2.7L if you need an engine small enough to fit in a little samurai.

the ethanol is to be 100% i am building the still just gathering parts now and i want to be away from the "gas or petrol "stations for good one day all the things i have read all say that 9.4 is still a little low for this aplacation but with the turbo should work as for the HP not looking for very high just better than the stock 64HP
so i figuar collect the parts from whats out there get stock rebuild kits clean it up so no junk comes out from the ethel cleaning and you have a full conversion with ?stock? reliability in theory with some beeffing up piston rods ?crank? and like you said new injectors ang pump and I am thinking of having a chip burnt for the stock comp what do you think.
sounds like you have hands on? experience
finnaly found some ppl to help also what about the r150t is this the same bolt pattern too and is there a big differnce between the 23 spline chain and 23 spline gear T/C as far as strength and bolting to the two traneys
Thx again
