General Questions
1. Will the '02 skid plate fit on my '99 and how much would it cost?
2. I saw this while i was doing a search:
15" wheels get 3.9's
In 1999 if you got the e-locker, Auto trans and V-6 you got 4.3's.
In 1999 If you got a 4cyl, locker and 16" wheels you got 4.56 I believe. S.Schaefer has that rare combo.
Could anyone tell me what a '99 sport package w/ 5sp and 4wd would have as far as gears. No e-locker. I think its open diff.

I'll give 'er a go!
1. Yes, it will fit, but it is bucks up. My OEM skid was priced at a bit over $320.00 for the plain old sheetmetal one. Although either OEM skid is better than nothing, if you're looking for functionality, it's not there...
2. Highly likely the gears are 4.10's. Acceptable for 265's, but I now know for a fact that with 285's and my limits of wheeling my rig, 4.88's are going in soon. When I do my front ARB, I will go 4.88's as well. I should have bit the bullet and had the gears and front locker installed when I did my rear locker. Oh well, hindsight is 20/20.

Another option for the skid plate is the new Kraft Engineering skid.

$225
I just put one on my Tacoma As soon as I get my new rear springs installed, I'm gonna go beat the wee wee out of it!
