alright, so now if I carry a spare setup I can replace front opr rear if I blew the pinion, thats usually what will go on the low gears like 5.29's right?

if you carried a rear spare 3rd, you could swap it out if it blew. if you carried a front spare 3rd, you could swap that out if it blew. they aren't interchangable so you'd either carry both or if the rear blew out, you'd remove the rear drive shaft and shift into 4WD and let the front tires drive you back to safety, then get the rear rebuilt. I really doubt you are going to grenade 5.29's unless you are really wreckless and go out and TRY to break something.

Yup. AFAIK, Dr. Karl Bellvé is the pioneer in elocker swaps. He currently runs a standard low-pinion elocker in the rear and an FJ80 hi-pinion elocker in front of his '85 4Runner.

ok, 5.29' then. But my plan got snagged a couple hours ago, in th4 eintegra I just put the new engine/clutch into and cleaned the interior to like new to sell, I TOTALED it.

I went off t eoprad on the right side, dosn about 1.5 feet jmaybe nailed the edge of a asphalt drveway, flipped end over end to the side of the ditch about 20 feet from the driveway landing on the roof, and turning sideways at the same tiem and finally rolling side to side landing on whels facing opposite direction towards ditch. goo thinig is I popped the hood and it all looks good, there is a slight oil leak bnut it looks as if it is coming from the tranny so I can still use the engine, but my enlistment bonus plus whatever I got earned by the time I get alittle bit into A school is gonna be a nice down payment for a 3rd gen 4 runner. still might get 2nd gen so I would have more cahs to make a nice crawler out of it. I am pretty set on the servoice now seeing as my major source of funds just went tumbling down the road coming out worth maybe 1k when I part it all out.

Looks like they prescribed you some heavy pain medication after the wreck.

Ouch! Is this white one in your avatar? How did you manage you run off the road? When you get some sleep and get back on here I'm sure we'd all like more details. Glad to hear that you walked away from an accident like that. You're going to be sore for few days though.

ok, a minute ago I actually typed out the whole long story and why it happend, then when im about doe I must have hit a ctrl+key or shift+key or something that makes the wondopw refresh or something, cuz all the sudden it says the session timed ou because the windo whas been op[ened fopr too long, now usually when I accidentally go back or somehting I can get back ot the page I was at and thre story still be there, but since i acidentally refreshed there is no back. so to make a long story short.

kid gets clutch. wakes up early. works on car. all day. doesnt sleep. keeps working. works all day next day til 2. goes for drive. 2 miles from home falls asleep. waks up to see big driveway in his path. gets out of car 50 fet from where he wokeup with a mangled car. kid wants to cry cuz he has no comp/collision.

youll se what car it was when you see my updated avetar in a minute. that white one is my old teg i just like it so i put its pic up. the one i wrecked is same year but a model higher and 4 door. and of course with more money invested in it as well.

I look at it this way, I dont have the yota, and now I CANT get the yota because I have no car to sell, that technically was the yota, at least the funding for it.

well, the integra starts up and runs fine, so my engine is fine, and the clutch is fine, but the trans might be shot, that or i broke and exle, cuz I just wanted ot see if it would move so I put it in reverse and when i let out the clutch as soon as it was about to engage the car shook violenly and made a bad sound, so tomorow I am going ot lift it. take out axles and start it and go through gears and if it all works it is getting swapped into my civic so I will have soemthing to sell, and then I wil start parting out the integra, I am gonna keep it just enough of a car so that I can put the civics engine i pull into it (the civic runs but oil in water and vice versa, i replaced the HG but didnt fix the problem) and it dies alot and wont start sometimes, so I am gonna put stock wheels back on and take it out to the woods and just beat the ˟˟˟˟ out of it, I might get a friend who has an old beater to bring it otu the the field and have a lil amatuar demolition derby. lots of fun. and ven if the integra stranny is shot, as long as the case is fine Im cool cuz I got a set of gears for it in storage that the case was cracked and thats al I needed.
