Gear Noise?
I have this brand new noise that started today....When accelerating, or holding steady up an icline I get this considerably loud, high pitched whining noise from what seems to be from the front end. Kinda sounds like a mud tire at high speeds...But I dont have muds, and it's at any speed. It's only there when I'm on the gas or coming to a stop. If I'm slowing to a stop I get a really low pitched whining noise right before I actually make the stop.
Anybody have any idea what this noise is?

Sounds sorta like my issue, a bit.

I'm getting it fixed in the near future so I'll know exactly what the problem. But I think it's the bearings for the R&P
Except yours could be wheel bearings. Do the check.

Thanks Rob, I don't know how I missed your thread..but be sure to keep us updated! My gears are still under warranty, so....
Edit: The wheel bearings are new also, but I'll check.

The verdict:
Passenger front CV is toast.
Both rear axle bearings are toast.
No idea which problem is making the noise.
$816 to replace the bearings + whatever the CV's cost. I think I'll be doing it myself. UGHHHH.
