AHA! Just as I thought. :pat: No holder for me either. WTF? I'm going to the dealer tomorrow to pick up a few parts I ordered, I'll see what they want for one. Is it a Sport Ed. thing I wonder?

sorry, the farting jenny made me sit and watch csi miami with that stupid "worst actor I've ever seen beside Keanu" david caruso.

If you still want a pic for proof I can get one but it would just be a black one like mpulver's.

What happened ?!?!?!?!
I have 2001 SR5 and my fuel door looks exactly the same. But I guess as long as the cap is somewhat attached to the body, I should not loose it :pat:

My concern is not so much losing it, as it is scratching the side of the truck. By the way, did you ship the assist handle yet? You got my money order right?

Yeap, the package has been shipped today! I'm still going through all my weekend mail, as I was out of the town for 4th of July. I'll send you the additional detail in mail

As far as the cap, I normally hang mine around that little hook and it seem to stay there just fine. I never had a car which had the holder (but I never had Toyota before this 4Runner either), so I kind of got used to ways around it.

I don't have one on my '01. Must be b/c the cap is tethered to the fuel door.

My 2003 came with it from the factory. I bought this one for my 02 which didn't have one!

I know, I know...tasteless, but I thought it might be funny. I hope no one is offended.

Tasteless?! At least you didn't post some Downs Syndrome kid behind the counter at Burger King singing about how much he loves working there to the tune of a christmas song. Somebody once posted that on another discussion site I used to frequent.

Gee, my gas cap holder looks just like a couple of loops of 20lb test run between the door latch and a hole I drilled in the cap. Wonder if there's an upgrade available?

Ok looks like unless I want to fork out $40 to the stealership, I better start being creative and trying out some mods. I'll post ideas and pictures as they come. Would appreciate the same from you guys. Thanks.
