Gas Tank

I recently bought me a 2003 prerunner dbl cab and loving it. Just wanted to know if anybody out there is having the same issue i'm having with my gas tank. When i pump gas, the pump keeps stopping. I've tried several pumps and several gas stations and the pump still keeps stopping. Does anybody know what might be causing the pump to keep stopping. It's getting kinda of annoying having to pump gas.

It might just have something to do w/the weather and pressure buildup because of it.

Instead of sticking the nozzle all the way to the splash guard, back it off a bit. Give the splash guard around the nozzle and your 4Runner a few inches of breathing room. Try not squeezing it all the way too, try only 3/4 or so.

These things always work for me when I get the annoying gas tank stop nozzle.

Al

P.S. If you overfill and it gets all over your new paint, I'm not responsible.

It also possible that the breather hose from the tank to the fill neck could be kinked.

I had the same problem on my 02 Tacoma. What worked for me is not to place the nozzle in all the way. Come back a little and see if this helps you out. Let me know...
