gas problem

i was getting gas today and figured i would just fill up , so the pump is going and i am cleaning the front windshield, all the sudden i hear a huge rush of liquid all over the ground, run to where the fuel tank is and the gas is just spilling out of the tank, overflowing everywhere, on the ground the side of the car etc. what could cause this? ive never had a vehicle have this problem before and this is a gas station i frequent all the time also

Yeah, i live in oregon and have only filled gas once (its oregon law that we can't pump our own gas)

But from what i have seen i doubt its something you need to worry about, its something that the gas station needs to address.

i heard about that oregon law and thought it was pretty funny, do they charge you extra since they have to pump the gas? i guess it can keep some people employed as well

Nope. We just don't have to get out during storms and stuff to fill up.... pretty cool imo

I heard the law was due to environmental concerns. Supposedly people who dont know how to pump gas release too much vapors into the air? Donno if thats true, but, pretty cool anyways.
