gas light

just wondering if the 96 limited has a gas light in it. I have ran the car till it scared me and i never have seen a dummy light. I get about 300 miles on 13 gallons all freeway. But i was wondering if I have a 18 gallon tank or is it just 13

If you have a 3rd Gen (1996) truck, its a 18.5 Gallon tank. Check your owners manual - it should say right in there.

My experience with both a 2nd gen and 3rd gen, plus what I've seen posted for the 3.0 and 3.4 L engines, the fuel tank capacity is 18.1 gal (maybe 18.5...) and the low fuel light should typically come on with anywhere between 2 - 4 gallons left in the tank.

As everyone else has stated, there is one but it is erratic.
