Thank you. Is the thing to do to ditch the rear swaybar? I still run mine, but what are the advantages of removing it?

If you're running swaybars fron the rear, your body roll is probably a lot less than any of the guys running without one, I can promise you that. If you think the Tundra coils up front are softer and yields more body roll, and that makes you more uncomfortable, don't got to the LC coils. I like body roll, because I can adjust it by simply attaching my addco front swaybar? Then off-road, I have a soft suspension that doesn't work against me when I'm trying to flex.Chris

So guys I am stuck I have the money to go either way front LC coils in the rear of my 98 runner or OME I don't know which way to go. I am not looking for a massive lift Just enough to clear 285's without any rubbing. I guess I am just looking for opinions on what yall think. I like the idea of the LC coils and I have a set that I could use. By the way I plan on running the TRD lift in the front. Give me your opinions.

I have been towing my 5'x8' trailer with 3500# axle for the last week with 1.5 tons of gravel. I have the OME coils and shocks in the rear. I only have a slight bit of arse draggin' with that much weight.
My only reservations about the LC coils is heavy towing.
I am still looking into/ pricing leaf spring swap. I might have even found someone to do it
I too have noticed the body roll with the Tundra setup vs. stock and PP springs with Bilsteins, but it is tolerable for a truck with 33s. I do run both swaybars and find the ride better than my wife's SR5 with the PP stup

Rear end:
1) LC coils = Best Off-Road Performance
2) OME coils = Best Streetability and towing, less body roll
Front end:
1) Tundra coils = Best Off-Road Performance
2) OME or Spacers = Best Streetability, less body roll
Make sense?
Chris
P.S. And if you want the best of both worlds, do what I did and that's use air shocks in the rear with LC coils, which provides all the towing benefits and all the off-road benefits.

For those of yall who are running the LC coils what is your setup in the front? And is your runner sitting level or slightly off? One more thing how much lift are you getting from the LC springs because I am not looking to get a crap load of lift like it seems everyone else has?

When I first did it I noticed more body roll when making an evasive manuever. Now I have just gotten used to it.
I am not sure if there are any clear benefits of taking it off or not. I really didn't test it apples to apples.

I have thought about going with LC coils and airbags. I like the droop they give, plus I have used airbags before and like how they help with various loads.
I have the OMEs b/c when I bought all my stuff over 1.5 yrs ago, I didn't know about the LC coils.
The gravel was evenly distributed and I have a 7" drop hitch. My truck flexes well, rides great and I am very happy with it.
Before I go swapping things out, and buying new, I am going to look into a leaf spring setup. I need to get prices for all the parts needed.....

About $1000 in parts plus at least 20 hours labor to go leafs like Steve. I checked it out too and I tried the LC coils with towing, which did not work out that well. Bamachem is about to try my old LC coils with the airbags. I'm currently running OME 891's and a Daystar 1.5" spacer in the rear. I like this setup b/c it tows well, flexes well (not as easy as the LC coils but the shocks are the limiting factor anyway) and handles well if needed in an instant.
But, I don't like bodyroll like Chris. Chris knows what he is talking about though-he probably has the flexiest IFS third gen on the board.

Most of you guys know I'm true beleiver of flex, regardless of the Schaeffer's and others that think if you're locked front and rear it's not needed. The winning combination is to have both and the only way to do that effectively and safely on our rigs is to relocate the rear shocks, not just run longer shocks in the stock location. In addition, adding flex joints to at least one end of each link would be ideal if you didn't want to redesign the links all together. I still think you could easily gain 6" of travel with the LC coils and doing the above.

I did get some sag. They flex well and handle a heav load nicely. I will take some pics tomorrow of my ride with all the gravel--I have to get another 5 tons
I know Chris tows quads and you a camper.
I definately like the OEM style lift.
Side note: I am running OME 891s with factory cones.

Oops, yeah I'm running the cones (cut-off) with the 891's and 1.5" spacer.

I want to see the look of the 891's with the spacer . ThanX
