so everytime i take my foot off my gas pedal i hear a click noise and when i do this in a neighbor hood and just creep (so i'm in like second gear just drivin home) my foot is off the gas and i'm just cruising i hear a loud screeching noise like it's my brakes but it's not. and this also happens when i throw in it reverse and back up but these are the only times i hear the noise and the noise is more then jsut a screeching too is multiple noises but not like loud clanks or anything like that just high pitch sounds.
what could it be??

sounds like a ujoint or a slipshaft

 

i regreased my ujoints today and sound still is happenin so i had my girl friend hold the wheel while we crept down the street and i opened my door and looked under my rig with a flashlight. I think the problem located somewhere between where my rear drive shaft connects to my rear diff. maybe a u joint. What is the round plate between the shaft and diff? i think it is the cause of the scraping noise? Sound like it could be? or am i retarded?
