Could you elaborate more on this? Is it the tank inlet, or the fuel filler area (where the gas nozzle goes into the filler tube)? If the tank is rusted out around the inlet, you would be better off buying a replacement tank.

No, the tank itself is in good condition, I meant the section of metal tubing inserted into the top of the tank that you attach the carburetor feed line to.
PS How Far are you from Carolina Beach? I have relatives in The area.
