fuel pump removal ideas???????

yep
yesterday my 4runner died in the hw because of my fault!!!!
well here in Puerto Rico theres a gas company named Puma who sells gas with a least 10% ethanol, well searching and asking the people who knows about cars the same point arise any car made before 2005 is not compatible with ethanol due to corrosion in fuel system parts and some engine parts, well trying to avoid that fuel brand i ran my 4runner with the just a bit of gas and guess what??? i burned an 8 months new fuel pump,,, yep my fault i know, then back in home i was thinking damn there should be another easy way to remove that little fuel pump with out removing the fuel tank, well it seems that is not possible.but i was thinking !!!! what if i convert the hard lines on the assembly to soft lines with some type of secure connectors or fittings and make the rear seat fuel pump connector access cap bigger just to make it possible for the fuel assembly to slide in or out with out removing the fuel tank.

I KNOW THAT REPLACING A FUEL PUMP IS NOT A TUNE UP JOB BUT JUST IN CASE IF THE PUMP FAILS AGAIN FOR WHATEVER REASON I DONT HAVE TO DROP AGAIN THE FUEL TANK AND I CAN KEEP A NEW FUEL PUMP IN THE TRUNK SO IT WILL BE WAY EASIER TO REPLACE IT AND KEEP DRIVING NOT RETURNING HOME IN A TOW TRUCK!!!

ANY IDEAS??? OR PRODUCTS???

MY 1997 HYUNDAI ACCENT FUEL PUMP CAN BE REPLACED IN 20 MINUTES !!! AND YES I HAVE ANOTHER FUEL PUMP IN THE GLOVE BOX!!

or maybe sell my 4runner and buy another hyundai!!! lol

Who said that? Brazil went to 10% and then 20%+ ethanol in ALL gasoline in the 1980's, and obviously ALL cars on the road there then were built before 2005. Guess what, they KEPT running. My Brazilian 1971 CJ-5 still drinks that stuff without issue and without modification. Complete hogwash to obsess about 10% ethanol in old cars. E85 is a different story.

Now, along with the changes in fuels, the myths abound; the internet is full of these dire warnings about what’s going to happen to our older, collectible and classic automobiles if we put E10 in them. Well, they talk about engine failures and all sorts of things like that. Isn’t going to happen folks; yes, there may be some minor problems but they’re easily corrected.

youre right i was looking for some info and that ethanol STUFF was used in the 80s so the myth about the cars made before 2005 its bs,the only thing i assure is true its about performance loss, anyway what i learned from this?
KEEP THE FUEL TANK FULL OR AT LEAST 1/2 !!!!

Just curious: What brand is the fuel pump you put in 8 months ago?
I'd just have a shop do it.
A couple of years ago, I had an independent repair shop replace the pump in my '91 4WD truck for about $150 labor.
Cheaper than the pump!

supply line is 5/16 return line is 1/4 and filler neck one is 9/16
looking for some hydraulic fittings,, lets see what i can find

or just go with plain good fuel lines and make a flare in each cuted pipe to prevent the hoses from slipping out,the only one holding big pressure is the supply one

Surgery is done
No flares in the lines, just fuel injection hose clamps, used my neighbor to test the clamp force he is almost like a gorilla only difference is that he can talk, anyway he tried to pull them out and they didnt move at all, not even a single drop leaked so its working great.
Now i have to make a bigger access door maybe in molded fiberglass .
