The other Day my 3rd generation 4runner wouldn't shut off after I started it!!!! It was having some problems starting up. I initially thought it was the ignition system becuase it wouldn't shut off but later found it to be the starter/solinoid.

Now it starts fine except there has been a gas smell inside the cabin. It also starts up differently. I'm not sure if it's different because I was used to how it started before or because there is something else wrong. I've litterally have spent a day and a half just thinking and researching about what it could be and what to do. I've narrowed it down to the Fuel Pulsation Damper or the PCV Valve.

Any insight would be very much appreciated
