Fuel line at tank with red disconnects ???
A mouse or chipmunk chewed through my 2 fuel lines at gas tank. I have the one with red clips on order. How do those clips work and do I need a special tool for them ? The photo is another I found online. I have not taken mine off yet. Hope to be able to replace that hose without taking truck bed off I can reach it pretty good. Thanks for your help.

That red connection looks like a aftermarket fuel line repair kit. I could be wrong, unlikely but possible. Not sure how they disconnect. Only quick connect fuel lines I have dealt with are fords and they have a $5 tool is available at NAPA for disconnecting ford fuel lines.

I don't remember seeing a connector like this before, but I would say that the tab sticking up is there for a reason.
Maybe to twist and unlock it?
I also am familiar with the Ford style tool for fuel lines and this is what I use, not sure where I got it though. Something like this may do the trick.
