simple question..when 4wd is not on, is the car in front or rear wheel drive?? thanks!

If the 4 Runner was FF in 2 wheel drive, I would have thought twice about buying one!

Well FF and FR have their advantages and disadvantages i know FR is better off the line. but FF is way better in snow. i forget the rest...someone else chime in here

All I know is that FF is good in the snow
because of the weight of the motor over
the wheels for better traction. Some guys have put concrete blocks and such for weight over the back wheels when they need the traction there.

There is also something called possy when each tire works independently when one wheel is not getting traction.
Not real familiar with the last concept.

FF is terrible if you are trying to pull a boat up a ramp at the lake! The guys in FF minivans just spin the tires
