Front strut top plate stud removal

How do you remove the original studs on the top plate. I will be installing a Daystar spacer and need to replace the old stud with a longer studs.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Get press from harbor freight and press them out. Or you could take them to a shop and probably get them swapped for pretty cheap.

Or like KZN said, you could hit them with a hammer.

My kit came with the studs and it told me to use a press and a socket to press them out it shouldn't be to hard to do. I would say about half hour each side but that's with air tools. Hopefully doing mine here soon.

not trying to state the obvious but the top plate has to be removed from the strut assembly in order to do it and for that you will need a strut compressor so if you dont have one just have a shop do it

Thanks guys. I've swap the shocks and springs a few times but never checked to see how those studs were connected to the top plate.

wifes4now, now sure if i'm going with one or two spacers. I originally bought the 3" leveling kit but I also bought the 1 1/2" spacer for the rear from ebay. I'll get you the measurements soon.
