front Shock mount custom positiong

I was wondering if anyone has ever raised the bottom shock mount on the front of a 3rd gen 4runner. By this i mean welding a higher mount, thus giving a lift . I was just wondering if anyone has done this and yes i have searched. thanks

I don't think I have ever seen that done nor do I think I will. What would you do for the rear to compensate?

3rd gen 4r, front shock mount welding

I was looking into welding on a bracket to raise the front bottom shock mount thus giving a mild inch or two of lift. i was wondering if anyone has done anything like this or relatively close to the idea.
thanks

you'll mess up your geometry and probably bottom out the upper bj's. Its like the same thing as adding a top spacers the strut.

why not use longer coils? say the trd tundra coils or the ome coils.

for more info on the trd tundra lift:
www.sonoransteel.com

also pm emptypockets..he's got an ome lift up front and the LC coils in the rear..
there was also a thread here about it.. couple of weeks ago, iirc..
