For those of you who have front Brush/Grill guards for your 03 4Runners, have you had any problems with them moving around when driving rougher roads?
I recently had the Westin front Grill Guard on my 03 and I had to return it because it would actually hit the body of the truck while driving rough terrain. It mounts to the frame and was done by the outfitter I bought it from. Apparently the frame is so independent of the body when it comes to the suspension setup that it moves that much. It would hit the body where it wraps around the headlights. You could actually see it moving while driving rougher paved streets. Funny how smooth the ride felt to me - different story looking out the windshield at the grill guard. Luckily no real damage because I noticed it early.
Anyway, just a precaution if thinking of buying one; also curious if other brands do the same.
Westin and the place that installed it did treat me right in removing it and refunding all my money.
