So I just finished my lift, and noticed that there is a rattling sound when going over bumps of any sort. Everything was tighten up and everything looks great, minus the sway bar bushing that is pretty much torn to all hell. I can not see that making the noise though, there is still rubber contact between the metal surfaces. Any clue one what it could be? It does sway a little from here to there after going over bumps.

Okay so figured it out. My driver side front strut is fine, my passenger side same set up has play in the shaft of the shock causing it to make the noise. Does this look right to you? Remember the other side seems fine.

 

looks like you may be missing one of the bushings. possibly the one under the top plate.

 

no top bushing...bad.

 

I will post the picture later but the bushing is there.. I am not that much of a re-re. It however does have an extra inch of play as you can see. Needless to say I think I am going to pull it apart this Saturday.
