Front end making creeking noises?

I have a 2000 2wd toyota tacoma. Its lifted 6" suspension and 2" body. I noticed that when i go over bumps my front end makes a creeking sound. My friend said it is gonna be like that after you lift it but i rode in other lifted trucks before and it dont make noise when it goes over bumps. Can anyone please help me. It is really starting to bother me. Thanks guys

What kind lift are you running?

It could be a lot of things. I've had this problem as well, but, can usually narrow it down to something after a while. Most of the time it is either my swaybars (need to be tightened or lubed) or my front struts which need to be tightened.

With these drop-braket lifts, they really do need some maitenence. I try to go and tighten all the nuts at least once every 3-4 months.

I know my set-up is different than yours but ever since I installed my Revtek lift and Tokico T/M shocks, I got an annoying chirp from my front end and I finally tracked it down to the top bushing area of the shocks. Every few weeks or so I have to take off the nut, washer and bushing and lube it up and then the squeak goes away. Hope this helps.

Yes, that top nut makes a ton of noise.

When assembling the strut, you always need ot make sure that thing is seated correctly. The spring needs to be completely compressed and that top nut needs to be tight with the bushings and washers squeezed together.

I had a few runs when I first did my cornfed lift and it made so much damn noise cause it wasnt tight!
