Front bumper for a $850 budget, 04 Taco

I've seen plenty of bumper threads and plenty of nice bumpers but it seems as though people are shy about saying what they paid for them. So for my budget, what can I get. I figure ARB is my only choice but I want to be sure before I go pick one up.

I'm ready to buy a bumper. I can get an ARB for about $850 locally from 4wheel parts. That's OTD and they have 10 in stock.

Thanks

You could build your own or probably have a local fab shop build you one for about that price

there are quite a few options, im pretty sure Scott at Addicted Offroad.com has one, i also think trail gear has one. and they are no where near 850 bucks.

in my honest opinion....don't let money be a factor....because usually you'll end up with a bumper that is okay..and not the one that you think will look/perform the best.

i'm not going to "settle" on a cheaper bumper.

it's either going to be CUSTOM (but copied largely from a few other members custom bumpers) or i'm going to Badlandbumpers

As far as ready built bumpers an ARB is the ticket IMO. nothing against the tube bumpers as they are great products but on the later model trucks they just don't hold a candle to a plate style bumper.

One thing that I miss about my '05 Tacoma was the ARB bumper. I had bashed that thing a few times, knew that if I hit a deer or something my truck and my family would be safe. it has a proven track record

I'm partial to the plate bumpers on the newer gens.

ShrockWorks! They are a little bit more expensive but well worth the extra $$ IMO. I can't wait until I save up enough to get one for my 4Runner!

All pro off road has a badass bumper. dad old man had one on his 06 Tacoma and he hound hunts so it got put through the paces because they thrash ˟˟˟˟ haha. The cool thing is is that it's a three piece bumper so if you happen to mess up one side or anything like that you don't have to buy a whole bumper you just buy the section. Check it out at least because I think it's one of the nicest ones out there and everyone liked how it looked and it was tougher than nails.

The all pro for my truck is a tube style. I do really like it with the extra filler plates and no headlight hoops.

I really like the addicted and the badlands bumper. Both have pros and cons. I like that the badlands has a top plate. It makes it look more finished. It also has headlight protection.

I like that the addicted bumper is fairly light. And its quite a bit cheaper.
