Foul odor from a/c vents...
So the other morning on the way to work I was getting a propane smell from the air vents. I was kinda worried. After work I fired up the truck, turned on the a/c and the dash started shaking like an off-balance washing machine. Turns out...

Now how in the hell this happened, I will probably never know since one, this mouse is dead and two, even if it was alive, mice can't talk. All I know is this little hairball stank to high heaven. I hope it didn't chew on anything under that dash before it fell into the squirrel cage. And no telling how long it was dead before it started stinking. Looks pregnant too...

hah, that happened to gregbreakseverything (i dunno if hes on the forum too much anymore...) you are lucky though, at least the mouse is in one piece, unlike his was... apparently when you really crank the heat you can still sorta smell it...

I guess you'd call that one of those powered exercise wheels right?
Poor little thing probably just could'nt keep up...
I'm reminded of the cartoon cats tom and sylvester falling down on the treadmill and getting spun around and around... haha
I know it's not funny but the image of it could make you laugh...
as for how the mouse got in there are a number of ways... did you ever park with your window/sunroof open? if so the mouse could have got in and crawled in the vent through the cabin recirc vent by the pax front floor or in through a dash vent. Or it may have hitched a ride in a box of ? you carried in the back.
to get rid of the stink there are a number of products you can try... make sure to wash the fan wheel in a hot water solution with a little bleach to sterilize it and get the vents vacuumed out and steam cleaned if you can...
remember rodent feces can carry Hanta virus and a few others as well all of them nasty and all airborne in the "fecal dust" Nothing to be really hypochondriac about unless you have a weakened immune system or are sensitve to those viruses...
You can use it as a good excuse to justify to the wife why you need to get that expensive "california movie star" detailing job done...
