Fog light help please

I went to change my fog light bulbs today (OEM lights) and half of those small screws on the bottom of the fog lights are rusted and stripped.

Any advice on how to get them out?

Pb balster if they are not that stripped or just bore them out with drill bit.

Not wanting to start another thread about a simular question.

I am also needing to replace my fog lights. What is the brightest light you can get for them? Silverstars? 55w? 100w?

Will this hurt the plastic in that area?

It could, it should not hurt the fog so just be careful and have a rag up there behind the screws to protect the bumper and other plastic up there.

If all else fails then drill out the screw/use one of those screw out things.

PB blaster or WD40 or something for the rusted screws...if they aren't striiped to bad, as was said before.

If they are try an easy out from Sears, or some other little screw out type of thing...

when nothing works and worse comes to worse, drill them out of there, or if you have dremel, you can try cutting them up or something.

Good luck!!

Those Screw out things have saved me MANY times. I love them!

And the dremmel is a good idea as well. What you can do is cut one stright line across the screw. Making it a flat head screw. This works quite well.

If you're cheap like me, I would just do the PB blaster and drive a chisel into the head of the screw then turn it using that. Worked for me before.
