FJ-40

I HAD one.... Its on my short list of "cars I shoulda never got rid of" Mine was a '74 w/ a 4 speed. Out of all the vehicles Ive had, its my favorite. They arent practical, not by any stretch of the imagination. You need another vehicle if you have a family or like to travel. I'm seriously thinking about one of the new ones.

I'm looking at buying one, perhaps as early as this weekend. These are the ones I'm currently looking at:

1971, Chevy 350, 2" lift, 33" treads (I think)

1972, Chevy 350, Fuel Injected, lifted, 35" MTRs, power steering, rhino lined interior

1971, factory F, lifted, 35" Xterrains, rear bumper, soft top, rhino lined interior

I too was tossing around the idea of getting one of these badboys at the end of the summer. I did some figuring, and by the end, I would be able to buy one(assuming a good deal) with some xtra $$ for mods!

One thing about mine though...It would have to have a soft top, because as much as I LOVE those trucks, man I can't stand that white hardtop!

I think that Red/White '71 looks sweet. So does that restored '69! Nice Job, dude! Personally, I like the two-tone retro look.

If they end up making these:

I'm going to buy one if it's affordable. I think it looks rad, and the features list is pretty cool, too. Click the pic for more info.

The 71 is definitely a project vehicle but it has a lot going for it. Here is a pic

Thumbs up Not Mine But...

This one isn't mine, but it's in the family, so I get to drive it every once-in-a-while. Softer, quiter, more refined than a 4Runner with a lot more torque and power. I don't know if its an FJ. FJ 100 if anything. This one is a '99.
