finally went offroading

I finally took the 4runner offroad. This thing climbs like a billy goat. I outclimbed a Hummer H2 and a couple of modded Jeep Liberty's. There was a really steep sand hill that the Hummer got half way up and had to back down. I said what the hell and gave it a shot, went right up no problem. The Liberty saw this and decided to try to follow me. He got half way up and had to back down. I thought maybe it was a fluke so I tried it again and once again I went right up no problems. The Atrack in this thing is unbelievable, you can take the VSC and shove it, but I love the Atrack.

It's a 2002, and it was a blast. It was actually with a jeep club, they own 1500 acres in eastern Ohio. Went through some pretty deep water too, lots of pucker factor. The really funny thing was the Hummer was following me he's neighbor, he would call me after I got through an obsticle to see if I thought he could make it. Even the diehard jeep guys were impressed with the ability of the 4runner with a newby driving it.

Forgot my camera, I'll get some next time for sure. The club is jeepskool.com if anyone is interested. Good group of people, and didn't give me or my buddy too hard of a time for not having Jeeps. There were even a few Ford's and Chevy's there.

Yep-I love the magic button. And yes-the 99 4runner stock gets itself in and out of nasty places.

I would put it up against a lot of jeeps.
