So after almost 5 months on Yotatech...

Still need to get the TG sliders on, have them all fitted and tac'd, just need to get them welded and on. Also, trying to figure out the best way to get my old hitch back on without the gap in the back.

Full size spare still hasn't come in yet but will probably throw that in the back but did at one point think about getting a roof rack to put it on. Still undecided there.

I had to do quite a bit of trimming and pounding (even with the SS 1.1 and 2" 4Crawler BL) to get the tires to stop rubbing at half turn, will have to take the front wheels off and pound it more this weekend... then taking the 4Runner out for a test run so will post more "real" pics after the weekend.

Instead of pounding I used a whiz wheel to cut the offending pinch weld to fit my 35"s only took like 5 mins to do both sides and it looks cleaner as you can cut them so it looks factory without the ugly bent up metal

Yeah, that's a good idea - I was thinking that I might have to do that as well. Did you have to do any welding with the split as a result of the cut?

What do you have in the rear? Were the pictures taken right after the install or have things had time to settle? What hitch did you end up with? Do you have the modular one that drops down or is it straight across. If you have the one that hangs down you can flip it and while its not perfect it does help.

 

I've had the lift in for about 2 or 3 weeks now. The coils seem to have settled a little bit after I drove around with a bunch of weight in the back... but the side view pic is on a slanted driveway, so it looks level in that pic.

My old hitch comes straight out, so flipping it won't work at all unless I cut a huge 2-3" chunck off the bottom of the bumper about 2/3's of the way across the middle.

There's a guy on here who put in a 2x2 square bar across the bottom of his bumber, I may do that and then put the hitch back on regularly, the bar should hide the gap but I will lose a bit of clearance in the back... ultimatly, a custom rear bumper would be nice but that's second to an ARB front locker right now.
