Have you checked steel prices lately? Maybe the scrapyard would want it? That's where I would take it

I used two pieces of angle iron and attached brush guard to the bumper and I have no shakes at all. It's actually feels very strong and solid.
Hope that helps.

Your first sentence sums it all up for the rest of us.

I understand this is your DD, but just remember, if you happen to rear end someone or are involved in a freak accident, that piece of tin on the front of your 4Runner is going to curl up like a snake and will tear the front end of your 4Runner into pieces. Just look at the pic dirtoyboy attached above.

But hey, if you like the "look" then keep it mounted. Maybe someone will offer you some helpful advice on how to keep it from shaking. But don't say you're keeping it mounted just b/c you have no where to put it...that doesn't really make sense. It's okay to just say you like it and that's that.

this POS brushguard I had on my recently departed '05 Tacoma has some braces that ran from the middle of the main upright and through the middle of the bumper:

I have seen people run a piece of strap (on both sides) from the upper part of the main upright and just under the hood...but I would hate to have that run through the top of a radiator...I just don't see how with the design of newer vehicles there is a way to properly brace them with out hacking up too much of the front end..

The vibration drove me nuts so after a few months I cured the problem with this:

and yes some thread archeologist dug up an old thread....they are kind of fun sometimes
