fcc id# on remote

does anyone know the fcc id # on the back of a remote for a 98 4runner? my wife just bought a 98 with no remote and i need the number so i can buy one off e-bay.

not sure if the one that came with my truck will work i have a remote that i dont use i could get a few pics tomorrow for you

you want the black oval shaped one with TWO buttons + led. not the 3 button one (with back window roll down) or with led on the back.

yeh elton if you have one for a 98 then i am interested. by the way i grew up in toledo. my parents still live there on yasek loop, out towards siletz.

I'm pretty sure on a '98 you need a dark grey remote. I don't think the black one will work with a '98. That's what I have read o Yotatech and some sellers on Ebay. Just my .02

well i guess mine didint have a factory alarm so it wont work

mine doesnt have favtory alarm either. it should have lock , unlock and rear window button on front and red panic button on back. does yours say fcc#hyq1512y on back?
