My fan motor started to run intermittently over the past year. For a ten year old truck i guess i cant complain. I had to hit the corner of the glove box to make ot run. Were should i start?

Check wiring, loose connection, anything in that corner of the glovebox tied to fan......

On my '95.5 Tacoma, the fan is attached with 3 screws that can be reached from the passenger floorboard. Is the '02 fan up higher? The glovebox door only has a couple of screws on the bottom holding it on.

My fan is postitioned the same as this...see post 687-690:

Awesome. I've heard people taking apart the motor. Is it that hard to do.

I did find the fan motor, took it out and to my surprise it looked almost brand new. Just a little dust on the plastic blades. Almost wondering because how low it sits the connector got loose from passengers feet.
