Hey yall, been looking into swapping my whip antenna out with a factory power antenna on my 01 double cab. I think this is the reversal of what some 4 runner guys do that have power antennas...

I don't use the radio too often and like the idea of a power antenna for when I do. Anyone know if the factory power antenna, PN 8630004040 will work and do I need the grossly overpriced relay PN 85914-04010 or since I have an aftermarket radio with a power antenna remote out is it not needed?

I've attached the part diagram that says the antenna from 1984 to 2004 but the power antenna part looks like it may only go up to 2000....Im assuming the fenders on my 01 and the 00 are the same, just not sure about the wiring or mounting points. Any input would be great! Thanks again, Matt
