ez locker n 98 runner

I intalled an ez locker in the rear of my 4runner part#813a028 in the air on a lift both tires spin, on the ground it will power brake/burnout both tires, the problem driving down the road the locker in engageing an dissengaging all the time in an out?? What gives acts like its poping in an out? Only drove up an down the street an stoped. Is this the rite unit? looks like powertraks makes a unit for 95 an older an 96 an up? Part#1620 an 1615.Looking at eaton detroits web pages the ez locker works on v6 4runner up to 95.Could the springs be bad in the locker? Is any 1 running this locker n a 3rd gen 4runner?

drive it around for a bit. some times when you have a worn carrier it will take time to set and align. i had a lock-rite do this in my chevy. took it wheeling a couple time and it went away..
