Extended Rear Differential Breather :

Has anyone performed this mod? If so, would you have detailed pics?

Thanks,
Danny

Doh! That's what I forgot to do yesterday... I'll have to get around to that soon.

Anyhow, here are some diff breather write-ups for ya:

I've done it but my old rustbucket probably dosen't have much in common with your purdy new ride.

Just in case, here are my picts.

Front filter just right of winshield wiper motor.

Front fitting barely visible above diff fill plug (it points straight up at the oil pan)

Home for the rear filter

I used Toy part # 90404-51026 for the rear. Different than most have used but it fits perfectly in the 1/4 inch fuel line I used for the rear. for the front I used Nissan part #38323-C6010 and some clear vinyl tube, don't ask why, I don't know.

That's where it is Jalaber! I looked through your site to post your write-up too but couldn't find it at the time.

Duh..I looked under "Additions 1 & 2" but not "Performance".

Hehe, it can be considered a weird place for it. But I think of it as off-road "performance". :alien:

I've got one on my site as well. The link the JA's write-up is in the Tech section... let's not forget that the tech section is there for just this type of thing.

Hrmm...I don't see it in the tech section. I could just be out of my mind though.

I linked to your site in my original post in this thread jacksonpt, but it shows the IP URL (2nd post in this thread).

I am not sure what you mean. Are you saying you cannot tell which tube is the breather hose? It's the clear one. Jacksons write up has arrows, check that.

Huh... I guess you're right... I thought for sure I had seen it there. Oh well. Once Mark gets some free time, he's going to link up my write-up, so it'll be there then.

Jackson,

On the pic pointing out the differential breather. Your rig has a tube. On my '02. It just has the breather bolt. Its in the identical location but no tube just the bolt. Is this the correct one?
