Exhaust Out location

just curious if any of you have an opinion of the exhaust out position on your muffler...

this is what im looking at buying...
http://www.amazon.com/Magnaflow-1323...1Q/ref=lh_ni_t

but im curious if the different positions for the in/out matter... i.e. center in offset out, ofset in/out, or offset in/center out...

or, like im thinking, is that just a way to better locate the muffler in the undercarriage?

stupid question but ive always been curious...

The location of the in and out of the muffler just depends on how the muffler and pipes are run/mounted.
