eq. / amp question

So i got a digital equalizer..and i need an external amp for both the front and rear speakers.... does anyone know how much wattage i need for these amps? Maybe a general guess? I assume it depends on how much my speakers can handle....but i dunno the answer to that... i have 6.5'' rockford's in the front...5 1/4'' pioneer speakers in the rear... and that's all i know..

Also.. where's the ideal place for these amps to be installed..from a conveniance standpoint?

If the amps is small, you can put it under the seat or if you want, you can place it on on the back of the rear seats. It will look real clean if you can do it on the back of the seats.

To choose the right amp you really need to know the specifics of your speakers. Some 5.25's are 30 watts, others can be 300 watts. Amps can be under a seat or mounted t the back seat, or on the roof if you really want it... I guess i you really want a roug estimate, your amp probablyneeds o be between 150 and 300 amps, if I'm guessing at your speakers with any luck.

I did some digging...

Front speakers: 2-50 watt recommended...peaks @ 100

Back speakers: 2-35 watt recommended...peaks @ 150

So do i go w/ like...75 watts... and 50 watts? Or...do i go with the peak ??

Peak wattage means nothing go by rms for everything.

I'd highly suggest you get a single 4 channel amp rated for ~75watts x 4 @ 4ohms.
