Change your oil regularly? You sure its not coming from the brakes? Rear axle oil seal gone + braking = smelly.

Ok stop shooting those Federal Papers from 2 decades ago!! Those are antiques!! Instead shoot the current production papers! I love the smell of burnt Red Dot in a paper hull!! Oh sorry you meant coming from your truck? Odd, very odd. Your truck doesnt run on Red Dot smokeless powder does it? LOL

Ok serious now:

Does it stink if you fire it up when cold, and just let it idle till its at temperature? Or is the smell dependant on the drive train being operated?

My '98 3.4l auto does this too. Only right after I'm on it hard, and not every time. No brakes, temp gauge dead in the middle.

Maybe the exhaust is burning/melting something. My EGTs get really hot after I get on it hard (1450 F)

it's an automatic. and it's like the guy above me. the temp gauge is dead in the middle and everything is fine, it just smells like this when i accelerate really hard.
