Engine serial number?

Where is the serial number that is stamped on the block located? I want to compare it to the truck and see if it is the stock engine.

it be small... about the size of the one in the window. never tried to read one while in the car. probaly have to have a mirror to be able to see it. then be able to read backwards... but i am not sure just guessing

its not a tag, its a smooth part on the block with the letters smally stamped in it.

Yeah, i know... I knew on my civic where it was, it is a flat spot that has the engine code, and serial number stamped on it. I just want to know where it is on the 3VZ-E
