Engine Rattling

OK, my most recent problem is something I noticed a little while back but was hoping the new plugs would fix. When I first accelerate (any gear, but it gets quieter as I shift up), there is a pretty noticeable rattling/buzzing. Not sure of the word to describe it really...but I would just call it rattling.

Performance is killer though, no problems what so ever. Got some injector cleaner today, haven't had the chance to drive much. Too much manual labor to do on my land here...but all this week I will probably be in and out so hopeuflly that will give it a chance to run through the injectors and really give it a good cleaning.

BTW: Has anybody ever used the Quaker State High Mileage Motor Oil? I got a 5 ounce jug of it because it sounds like it's made for me! I have 125,200 miles on my rig and I am hoping that it may help keep it in better shape. Never had much experience with Quaker State before...what do you all think of it?

Thanks once again guys! This forum ROCKS!

not sure about the sound thing cause i would have to hear it, but i know on the older toyota's they had a problem with the exhaust manifold collector to pipe seals, they break alot, and it sounds like.......well i cant really describe it, but i know that my truck has a funny noise that goes away like that when i shift, i would try changing the 2 o ring style seals, but be warned, they will break easy again, especially on washboard type roads..

later

That high mileage stuff is a gimmick. It might have more seal sweal additives in it compared to the regular junk they market.

I would just use AMSOIL and not worry about anything. AMSOIL has the most additives possible without them causing a problem themselves.
