Engine rattle

My friend has a 2002 Toyota v6 4x4 .The engine has a rattling sound at idle but won't do it while drive . The rattle sounds in the front lower part of the engine its external noise . Any ideas?

Alternator bearings, idler bearing, water pump, false water pump bearing... there's a lot of stuff down there. Get a stethoscope or rubber hose and get to listenin.
