Engine Oil

I have been a firm believer in useing manufacturer specific oil and i am looking for a place that sells toyota oil besides the dealer. I know that it is probably made by another company but does anyone have any idea if there's another place to get it or do you have any recommendations on a good oil that won't brake the bank.

No offense, but I can tell you that a question like this will probably get you slammed by the older posters.
There's as much about oil on this site already as there is at bobtheoilguy...
Try some searches.

My $.02 - unfortunately asking a question about oil brands is going to get you very qualitative answers...kinda like asking about which tire brand is the best... Recent chatter on this subject, though, I think revolves around a few best practices - use synthetic, a good filter, use the correct weight/spec and change your oil and filter at recommended or less than recommended mileage. If you do not want to use synthetic, use a big name dino manufacturer, correct weight and spec, a good filter and change more frequently. For example, on my 1988 T'bird Turbocoupe, (I bought new - now 150K miles) before I switched to syn at 147K miles I used Pennzoil and changed every 2K miles. I have had zero engine issues (uses no oil between changes) and I have not had to do anything to the motor other than ignition stuff (plugs, cap, rotor, wires...) - turbo is original too. My 82 Cressida - 3K intervals (with same Pennzoil) and at 280K I just had to have the head serviced (worn guides). When I tore this motor down it had no sludging and no apparent wear in the valve train components. Maybe on these two cars I could have not changed as frequently and had similar results but this schedule brings me peace of mind and good results so far...Hope this helps....
