engine advice and help needed!
hey guys, i've been searching over the threads and i havnt really found anything up my ally.
I've got a 97 tacoma with 190XXX on it. I was getting it ready for a trip one day and noticed that my colant res. was filled filled with gunk, mixed oil and colant. the truck is running like ˟˟˟˟ now and i've had it looked at. i have collant leaking into cylinder #2. my questtion is, blown head gasket, or craked head?
any way. i am looking into getting the whole motor rebuilt, as i got quoted at 2600 to fix the craked head and if im spending that much might as well have the whole thing rebuild right?
i just wanted to get the thoughts and opinons of someone who would know a little more. if anyone is in san diego and knows a good shop or guy to get some work done that would be cool too.
any help would be apprecaited.
