Elocker vs traction control or something??

Need some help here from you newer generation owners.

Very little knowledge of the 96+ vehicles other than what I know about the 3.4 motors in regards to swaps into pre96 vehicles. I have a few elocker and two in my current 92 pickup.

While shopping craigslist for a donor for another motor swap. I came across a runner that fits the bill. I ask him if it has the locking diff button and he says it does but he sends me a pic of this button.

What is this?

I'm gonna have him send me a pic of the rear end but I still want to know what this button is. Never seen it in 96-02 vehicles. Only newer than 2004

So is there no elocker in it? Like I said, gonna get a rear end picture later but looking to have some future knowledge.

Bummer. So it appears that the vehicles with the 4 tire switch does NOT have the rear elocker that I want in a donor.

This is good to know going forward however. Learned a lot from that page linked above.

THANKS

you can always replace the rear axle with an e-locker rear diff and wire in the locker and switch. that way you get a center diff for AWD and a rear diff lock for offroad use
