EGR valve

is ti any benifit to take out the egr valve and plug it on both sides so u only get clean air coming into the intake plenum?

not much, especially with a 22RE. keeping it will lower your chances of pinging because your combustion chamber temp will be cooler

NO benifit,except pinging and higher NOx readings.

Like Kyle said.

The EGR helps to reduce combustion temps. Getting rid of it on your 22RE will make it run worse not better. You will have light throttle hesitation, mid RPM bog, pinging under load and poor fuel economy.

Remember, the ECU will retard the timing via knock sensor without the EGR so you will be slower not faster without it. Also, if you have emissions testing in your area, you'll probably fail the NOx part of the test.
