ECT sensor plug

Will someone just take a picture of where the wire for the ECT comes from? I put the new motor in my 4runner, (from PO) and noticed that there is no ECT. There is the sender unit for the guage, but no digital sensor on the intake manifold. To add to this I can't even find a plug to plug into the sensor. Where the heck is it supposed to be? I know where the sensor goes, but can't fnd the plug. Is it on the drivers side of the wring harness, or the passenger side? A picture would be more than awesome.

Yea that might help. It's a 97 4runner with 3.4. 5vzfe. Automatic 2wd.

Always does...

Ok, it comes out of the wiring harness right behind the passenger side cam gear....on my 95.5 it is a gray plug. The ECT should be like 4-5" away under the fuel runner cross over.

In the second picture of the first post, it's the second plug back from the passenger cam gear. See it? You can see where the ECT screws into the lower manifold too. The last picture in post 8 shows the senson without the wire pigtail.

Should be able to see it without pulling the plenum. Is the ECT sensor in there? If not, the crossover on the fuel rail will need to be pulled (possibly the upper minifold too).

I'm missing the wiring harness from the little plug to the sensor.

That will likely be a dealer only item. IIRC, it's a $6-10 wire. p/n 82219-34020
